Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager role is set within a fast-paced global finance function and is focused on supporting the financial control team in the completion of month end activities in relation to US entities in line with reporting deadlines. Reporting to the US Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for finalizing month end numbers and processes, ensuring reconciliations are complete and accurate and supporting submission to our parent company.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the month end reporting process for all US entities and supporting submissions of US financial reports to Shareholders.
- Ensuring detailed balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a standardized controlled manner each month for each entity, with key reconciliations reviewed and approved by US Financial Controller.
- Proactively identifying variances and working closely with the FP&A team to provide support and analysis.
- Working closely with the AP/AR teams to understand transactional variances on month end reporting against Budget.
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset register.
- Supporting the development of clear processes in place for ongoing monthly review differentiating between normal trade, loan and duty transactions.
- Managing intragroup recharges.
- Completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual transaction tax (such as Sales & Use Taxes) returns in a timely and accurate manner and submission to tax authorities.
- Managing transaction tax audits.
- Providing transactional data for other taxation queries.
- Supporting in the creation of tax and audit schedules as required by preparers and auditors.
- Working with the US Financial controller and Global team to close out all audit requirements.
- Assisting with the development of systems and initiatives relevant to enhancement of gross margin and statutory data, interacting as needed with broader business projects to drive financial control and efficiency of process.
- Providing support to payroll specialist if required.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
- Part-Qualified/Qualified (US CPA or foreign equivalent)
- Knowledge of US GAAP reporting
- Ability to check and maintain accurate documentation
- Previous delivery of process improvement and change
- Demonstratable experience in a global complex company environment, engaging multi-location people and teams
- Knowledge of US and international transaction tax requirements and processes
- IFRS reporting, Sage X3 and TM-1 experience is all desirable
- International regulation knowledge is advantageous but not essential

When we have the option to get together in person, it presents the opportunity to connect, collaborate and innovate. That's why at Biocair, our aim is "more in, than out" with the role being offered as hybrid with 3 days per week being spent at our Raleigh office (NC 27513).
