Procurement Specialist

As the Procurement Specialist you will report to the APAC Head of Business Delivery. The purpose of this role is to help drive and assist with the implementation of the Global Procurement Strategy by sourcing products and services essential for our company’s operations; ensuring the most cost-effective suppliers are identified who deliver on quality and service excellence underpinning our values.
You will be a key player embedding in the business across multiple pillars from Operations, Finance, HR working with key internal stakeholders to identify business needs, building relationships and selling the features and benefits of early procurement involvement.
Responsibilities will include:
- Complete the end-to-end sourcing process for the implementation of new suppliers.
- Support new supplier requests, contact validation, and coordinate related information on existing suppliers. Collaborates with the Supplier Management and Quality and Compliance Teams to ensure a timely and efficient review and approval of all suppliers under local and regional sourcing market management.
- Management of the global supplier database, ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
- Utilise expertise in assisting Procurement operations with invoice resolution, to ensure timely and accurate closure of outstanding invoices. Invoice holds to be reviewed and actioned daily.
- Provide updates about procurement related progress and potential delays on a regular basis to the APAC Head of Business Delivery.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
- Experience that relates to the logistics, courier or freight forwarding industry in a multicultural environment, or is able demonstrate the transfer of their current skill set to be successful in role.
- Proven ability to identify and deliver cost savings across multiple business units.
- Strong mathematical and analytical ability; ensuring confidence, accuracy and attention to detail when working with numbers and large data sets.
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Project Planning and Implementation skills
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy and ability to prioritize

Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00hrs and is based at our Shanghai office.
This is a China based role and the right to live and work in the China will need to be established during the recruitment process.
