As the Import Coordinator you will help “Move Science Forward” by fulfilling all operational requirements involved in ensuring timely customs clearance and delivery of Biocair’s Imports to Belgium.

You will support our strategic goals by providing best-in-class customer service to all Biocair customers and offices alike, ensuring all imports are managed in the most efficient, safest and most cost-effective way.

Responsibilities will include:

• Act as point of contact for overseas offices and agents on shipments importing into Belgium and Luxemburg.
• Ensure all pertinent information, including any import permits, are present to ensure the entry submitted is fully compliant with all relevant customs and customer requirements.
• Liaising with customers and Biocair’s broker to ensure all import declarations are completed accurately in accordance with regulations and in an expedited fashion.
• Monitoring all imports to ensure they are stored correctly and in accordance with the temperature requirements of the product.
• Identify potential issues and delays. Put pre-emptive measures in place to ensure service levels are met and the customer is advised as appropriate.
• Provide customers with regular, accurate and timely updates on shipment status.
• Ensure correct and timely completion of all post-shipment tasks

• Up to date knowledge of customs requirements and HTS codes is essential
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Highly self-organised, able to plan and prioritise workload and manage changing priorities to meet strict deadlines
• Demonstrates consistently high attention to detail
• Agile and resilient; can adapt quickly to different situations and shows initiative
• Intermediate MS Office skills
• Experience in the pharmaceutical logistics sector or life science industry is desirable but not essential
• Fluency in English, Dutch and French
