We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team and help develop scalable business intelligence solutions, including robust ETL processes and insightful company reports.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and documenting ETL workflows and delivering high-quality, functional business reports. You’ll work closely with colleagues across IT and the wider business, so collaboration, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving are key.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and reporting dashboards.
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
- Implement data quality and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Design and develop data models to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to understand the structure, relationships, and quality of data.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
- Proven work experience as a Business Intelligence Developer.
- Strong proficiency and experience in T-SQL (SQL Server) , SSIS, SSRS and SSAS packages.
- Power BI
- Knowledge and experience of data warehousing concepts, methodologies and ETL Development.
- Automation of maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management concepts.

Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 and will be based at our Johannesburg office (Kempton Park 1619).
This is a South Africa based role and the right to live and work in South Africa will need to be established during the recruitment process.
