Business Development Executive

As the Business Development Executive you will play a critical role within the sales and marketing team, working to acquire new customers across APAC. Developing revenue and enhancing business from existing Biocair customers. Being accountable for managing, and strengthening, the relationships of existing customers. Contributing to the increase of Biocair’s brand awareness across APAC. Leading the business development in APAC to help bring online local infrastructure and supporting the local operations team to ensure a good service level.
Responsibilities will include:
Increasing customer base and revenue generation:
• Building and maintaining a customer list consisting of APAC based Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies, CRO’s, central laboratories, CMO’s and where possible R&D institutions including hospitals and universities.
• Contributing to the maintenance, and where possible growth, of existing Biocair customers within the defined (APAC) territory.
• Planning development campaigns with the Marketing team to aid brand awareness and business presence across APAC.
• Supporting marketing activities including attendance at industry related conference, exhibitions and symposia.
Contributing to Biocair’s customer retention strategy:
• Managing and supporting Biocair’s existing customer base within territory.
• Maintaining regular customer meetings and where needed introducing key Biocair personnel.
• Communicating any customer issues to Customer Service/Project Management and assisting with resolution and subsequent customer contact.
• Identifying areas for process improvements.
• Communicating any areas of competitive activity/initiatives to Sales & Marketing department and management team.
Meeting with existing customer base to increase revenue generation:
• Identifying opportunities to increase revenue from the existing customer base.
• Presenting benefits of new product developments to existing customer base and identify potential revenue streams.
• Obtaining referrals and introductions from existing contacts.
Contribute to the implementation of departmental plans and product/geographical developments:
• Attending exhibitions, industry seminars, events and networking opportunities as required.
• Assisting in maintaining competitor analysis information.
• Ensuring that Biocair’s Standard Operating Procedures and general standards of presentation are adhered to at all times.
• Contributing to the overall development of the department as directed by the VP, Commercial Operations and General Manager, China.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
- Experience in sales or business development.
- English writing, reading and speaking is essential.
- Japanese language skills are desirable but not essential.
In return we offer:
- Up to 12,000 CNY per month depending on experience
- Commission
- Paid annual leave
Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 and offered as 100% onsite based from our Shanghai office (PuDong District).
This is a China based role and the right to live and work in the China will need to be established during the recruitment process.
