Accounts Payable Team Leader

Reporting to the Global Accounts Payable and Treasury Manager, the Accounts Payable Team Leader is an important role within the global Finance team at Biocair.
The role will involve a number of duties, with the majority being reviewing and posting of a high volume of Direct and Overhead invoices across a variety of regions, leading the development and implementation of Process Improvements and training of Accounts Payable processes internally and externally.
The role will closely interact with the Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Procurement and Costings teams, providing critical support to the efficient, timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices.
Responsibilities will include:
People Management including regular one-to-one and team meetings, performance appraisals, recruitment, talent development and monitoring attendance.
High volume posting of both direct and indirect cost invoices onto an internal accounting system, including invoices from multiple international suppliers in different currencies and across different regions.
Liaising with Operations and Costings to resolve any cost discrepancies alongside leading Procurement and Costings meetings to ensure all queries are completed to resolution.
Identifying, developing and implementation of Process Improvement to strive for maximum efficiency across all regions.
Working alongside the Global Accounts Payable Manager to identify training requirements within the Accounts Payable team.
Confirmation and maintenance of vital Banking information to ensure the company meets required internal and external Audit and Compliance standards.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
Previous experience managing a Team.
Proven experience of working in an Accounts environment, managing master data processes.
Experience of using Sage X3 or similar system is desirable.
Strong organisational skills and a keen attention to detail.
Excellent project management skills and prioritisation.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders at variety of levels.

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30 and offered as 100% onsite from our Johannesburg office (Kempton Park 1619).
This is a South Africa based role and the right to live and work in South Africa will need to be established during the recruitment process.
