Senior Accountant - Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in China, supporting the financial control function and contributing to the smooth and timely completion of month end activities.
Working closely with the APAC Financial Controller, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting practices, and supporting submissions to our parent company, Geopost.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with regional teams and external partners while contributing to the continued growth and stability of Biocair China.
In this role you will:
Support the management of general ledger activities, including posting revenue, cost and month-end journal entries in line with reporting timelines.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations (bank accounts, petty cash, fixed assets, duty accounts, etc) for review.
Assist in maintaining accurate cash and bank records and completing monthly bank reconciliations
Coordinate tax declarations and work collaboratively with external accounting firms to provide required financial data.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
Intermediate Finance Certificate is required
Bachelor’s degree holder and preferred with accounting background
Mandarin and English writing, reading and speaking required
Proven experience in statuary audit and tax compliance within China
UK GAAP and IFRS reporting
Experience of engaging multi-location people and teams
In return we offer:
Between CN¥15,000 - CN¥20,000 per month depending on experience

Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 based out of our Shanghai office (Pudong 201203).
